I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
