Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts

A revitalized Medvedev claimed his initial championship for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.

The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult year, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the US Open.

Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and finally splitting with former trainer Cervara.

Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Moutet.

It is his maiden trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt from spring of 2023.

Victory also means he has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one various competitions.

"For the first time I have attended a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a title is particularly special," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my child her name was born was for her."

The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his last six finals, comprising in that event earlier this year.

Medvedev's defensive strategy and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had led some to wonder if his capacity to compete at the elite level was over.

But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and compete positively, supported by an enhanced service.

He recovered from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five points to take the lead.

The pair swapped breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his maiden ATP Tour title, gained dominance to push for a third set.

Moutet saved four initial break points in a close third set before the Russian won the break to 15 to close out the victory.

Fittingly, he secured the title with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
